On April 28, Surender Reddy’s “Agent,” starring Akhil Akkineni and Sakshi Vaidya, opened to unfavourable reviews. With Mammootty in a leading role, the film failed to improve weekend collections on Saturday and Sunday.

The film grossed Rs. 9.46 crore in four days in the Telugu states, Rs. 0.37 crore in Karnataka, and Rs. 0.80 crore in the rest of India and internationally. Rs. 6.49 crores of shares and Rs. 12.20 crores of gross were collected internationally in four days.

6.49 crore share, 12.20 crore gross worldwide

The movie’s box office run may have ended after the first Monday, when most locations had no collections. The film’s overall business is Rs. 36.20 crores, but the break-even mark is Rs. 37 crores; therefore, it needs another Rs. 30 crores to be a success.

Trade analysts say the film’s box office possibilities are slim owing to the terrible reviews, and it may struggle to stay in theatres. Analysts say this film has hurt Akhil’s career again. “Agent” may not recover from its losses and become a hit.
