The movie “Adipurush” is being released in theatres all over India. UV creations, which is run by some of Prabhas’s closest friends, has bought the rights to show the movie in Telugu. Moreover, Prabhas’s brother is also a partner in the UV company. Prabhas and the film’s director, Om Raut, worked together on “Adipurush.”
The main plot of the movie is based on the story of the Yuddhakanda. The movie has a group of actors from all over India, and it uses graphics to try to attract younger viewers. The Telugu rights to the movie seem to be worth somewhere between 150 crores and 200 crores. Together, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and the ceded areas need to spend about Rs 150 crores on advertising.
People don’t think this goal is too big, given how popular Prabhas is in India. If a movie like “Salaar” came out, there is a good chance that it would also make more money than this. In Naizam, a movie like “KGF 2” could make somewhere between Rs 50 crores and Rs 100 crores. Taking this estimate into account, it doesn’t look like “Adipurush” is going to have a hard time reaching its goal of Rs. 150 crores.
About Rs. 40 crores and Rs. 50 crores are made from major films in Nizam and Andhra, respectively. Karnataka remains a stronghold. But “Adipurush” isn’t a typical movie; it’s a movie about mythology. If the movie is a hit, people will surely rush to the theatres to see it. Still, no matter how the competition goes, it is expected that the movie will have a great start and do well.
